We created this map with the illusion of 3D by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1984 West Virginia map. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.
Please Note: Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

My first order arrived with a puncture through the back side of the map and a crack in the acrylic. After quick correspondence, a replacement was being prepared. The map is beautiful and sits on a wall in my office. Passers-by notice it all the time now.

I can't believe how great the map looks! The detail is incredible. This was a gift for my husband who does a lot of hiking in WV and he really likes the map. I am getting it framed and can't wait to put it up in his man cave.

Map captures the dense nature
of the hills and woodlands which predominate in teal life. Place names a bit difficult to make out except on the state margins. Already an eye catcher.
