Description

We designed this map of Guam by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1965 version creating

the illusion of 3D. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.

Clouds created for a surreal effect-available with or without.

Please Note:

Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

Amazing addition to our home

I purchased this as a gift to my partner as he was stationed on Guam for several years. The dimensions within the print lead you to believe it is truly 3d. The cloud overlay is a wonderful touch. We framed it with glass knowing the beauty of the print would demand the viewer to touch to see if it was actually raised where the hill line was seemingly raised. Well done, from both of us.

Great visual

The map was great, and the effect is much more dramatic one framed. I will not that local notes like roads, etc don't stand out but that isn't really the purpose of this decor piece.
