The print of The War-Mouth Bass was drawn by H.L. Todd and was originally published in the 1884 edition of the "The Fisheries and Fishery Industries of the United States". It was the first book in a multi-volume series produced by George Brown Goode, the famed ichthyologist (fish scientist), Smithsonian museum administrator, and U.S. Fish Commissioner. He managed a large staff of scientists, researchers, and clerical employees to produce this monumental work on American Fisheries.  We are happy to make available the amazingly detailed drawings included in the first volume of the series.

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

Frames - Hardwood frames in Walnut or Black-Stained Walnut, handmade to order for your fine art paper print. We send each print to a professional frame shop to be custom framed. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery – not eligible for return or exchange.

We take pride in our prints and package them with the utmost care so your order arrives safely and in great condition. Of course, we can not account for everything that may occur during transit which can damage your order. But rest assured, if your order arrives in less than perfect condition, please email us at info@muir-way.com with pictures of the damage and we will replace it for you. 

SHIPPING TIMES

Domestic Shipping:

All of our maps are printed to order so you receive a perfect print. Please allow following times to receive your order.

  • Paper Prints: 3-7 business days
  • Framed Paper Prints: 3-4 weeks
  • Canvas Gallery Wraps: 3-7 business days

    International Shipping:

    Yes, but we are only able to ship our paper prints.  We do not ship the canvas gallery wraps or framed prints internationally at this time.   Shipping costs are determined at checkout along with Duties/Taxes for your country. No more costs will be due upon delivery. We do not accept returns on International shipments.

      RETURN POLICY

      We stand by everything we print and will accept returns within 30 days of purchasing your Fine Art Paper print. There are NO restocking fees but return shipping costs are at the customer's expense. Returned prints must be in new condition and packaged as they were shipped. Any additional Shipping Insurance purchased in not refundable. Please email us at info@muir-way.comwith the order # to receive detailed instructions. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted and do not guarantee a refund.

      *Framed Prints and Canvas Gallery Wraps – We do not accept returns or exchanges on framed prints and canvas gallery wraps because they are custom made to order.  If your order arrives damaged or wrong, please email us at info@muir-way.com so we can correct it for you.

        War-Mouth Bass Purchase

        I was very pleased with my purchase from Muir Way. I purchased this print as a gift because I found their products to be very unique. It was reasonably priced, and was delivered to my house in a very prompt manner. I also liked that a portion of my purchase supported the Sierra Club.
