Sun Valley, Idaho-TOPO Series Map
TOPO Series Maps:
Our maps show elevation changes in the landscape through contour lines. Each line represents a particular elevation, so you can determine the degree of slope by how close the lines are to one another (very close lines indicate a steep slope area). The dot on the map represents the base of the ski area. The elevation climbs away from the dot and shows the shape of the ski area from above, as well as the surrounding areas. The elevation and geographic coordinates indicated at the bottom of the map refer to the base of the ski area. The interval distance represents the elevation change between each line.
The maps are based off of US Geological Survey topographic maps which were created in quadrant sections. In other words, the USGS created maps that can be pieced together like a mosaic to create the entire US. Our maps use up to 4 quadrants to form a map of the ski mountain area. If there is a vertical and/or horizontal line on our map, they show where two or more quadrants meet.
We print all of our designs ourselves on the highest quality materials made in the USA. We use an award winning Canon ipf8300 printer with their 12 color inkset to get the most vibrant colors that will last a lifetime.
