Prince William Sound, AK-Range Series
Our "Topographic Map of Prince William Sound " in Alaska illustrates the entire sound, both above and below sea level, through contour lines. It is a combination of a topographic and bathymetric map which we believe is the first and only map with this degree of detail and accuracy. The map depicts the landscape and water through elevation contour lines in intervals of 100 ft.
Each maps combines the data of hundreds of smaller USGS quadrant maps to form detailed constructions of mountain ranges. Due to the nature of the maps as art pieces, we simplified them by only including natural features; there are no roads, cities or towns, or other man-made elements on the maps except for the trail. Contour lines are closer together, and many times touching each other, in areas of steeper elevation changes.
We print all of our designs ourselves on the highest quality materials made in the USA. We use an award winning Canon ipf8400 printer with their 12 color inkset to get the most vibrant colors that will last a lifetime.
