Water is literally the lifeblood of any state. If you’re drawn to water, you know that how and where it flows tells the story of a place. Our Kentucky Hydrological Map shows in fascinating detail how the state’s rivers and streams flow and interconnect, merge and diverge, carrying life to the land. The flow of water also has an inherent aesthetic elegance that our map captures beautifully.

It’s all in the details. Our map depicts every river in the state—even intermittent streams—and every body of water with a diameter greater than .2 miles. For an extra aesthetic touch, we apply a method called the Strahler Stream Order to show the hierarchy of streams as they flow from their source—rivers are shown thicker as they acquire the flow of tributaries. We think it enhances a sense of the interconnectedness of our waterways.

In our Hydrology Series, you’ll not only find your favorite rivers and lakes, but you’ll also be able to trace their origins and outflow and appreciate the beauty of their connections.

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

We take pride in our prints and package them with the utmost care so your order arrives safely and in great condition. Of course, we can not account for everything that may occur during transit which can damage your order. But rest assured, if your order arrives in less than perfect condition, please email us at info@muir-way.com with pictures of the damage and we will replace it for you.

      RETURN POLICY

      We stand by everything we print and will accept returns within 30 days of purchasing your Fine Art Paper print. There are NO restocking fees but return shipping costs are at the customer's expense. Returned prints must be in new condition and packaged as they were shipped. Please email us at info@muir-way.comwith the order # to receive detailed instructions. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted and do not guarantee a refund.

      *Framed Prints and Canvas Gallery Wraps – We do not accept returns or exchanges on framed prints and canvas gallery wraps because they are custom made to order.  If your order arrives damaged or wrong, please email us at info@muir-way.com so we can correct it for you.

        Each map is produced on our 12-color gicleé printers using premium inks to ensure a highly detailed, fade-free piece.

        We make all of our prints with museum-quality, 100% cotton, acid-free archival paper that’s rated to last 100+ years.

        No pressed wood, no veneer. Every custom frame is handmade from real Maple or Walnut.
        Please allow 3-4 weeks for your frame to be delivered.

        Texas Hydrological Map is fantastic

        My dad was a hydrologist (mostly in Texas) for 50 years, both with the Federal Gov't and in the private world...I got this for his birthday and framed it myself with some Texas Pecan. The print is really amazing. Super high quality. NOT a flimsy paper but real printing. It's fantastic.
