Description

We love old maps. Their coloration, typography, legends, notations, and sometimes even outdated place names all have a nostalgic quality that gives them a special beauty. If you share our love for vintage maps, you’ll appreciate this 1883 California Map in our Historic Series.

This map was made by George Cram and originally published in Cram's Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World in 1883.

Beautiful Historic Map

I'm a native Californian and a history buff, so this is right up my alley. This is from a mere 33 years after statehood, when the bulk of the population lived in the northern half of the state. It's fascinating to see how much has changed since then. (Same comments apply to the 1876 map)

Great Quality, Excellent Customer Service

I bought the 1883 California map. Even during the COVID outbreak they processed my order and shipped it to me within the week. I’m really into geography and this map looks great on my wall.
