Aspen, Colorado-TOPO Series Map

Aspen Mountain is located next to the town of Aspen in the White River National Forest in Colorado.  The mountain is a bit unique in that it does not have any beginner runs.  Although not considered a large ski area by CO standards, it has lots of fun steep runs, a great town, and Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass nearby for more variety.

TOPO Series Maps:

Our maps show elevation changes in the landscape through contour lines.  Each line represents a particular elevation, so you can determine the degree of slope by how close the lines are to one another (very close lines indicate a steep slope area). The dot on the map represents the base of the ski area.  The elevation climbs away from the dot and shows the shape of the ski area from above, as well as the surrounding areas.  The elevation and geographic coordinates indicated at the bottom of the map refer to the base of the ski area.  The interval distance represents the elevation change between each line.

The maps are based off of US Geological Survey topographic maps which were created in quadrant sections.  In other words, the USGS created maps that can be pieced together like a mosaic to create the entire US.  Our maps use up to 4 quadrants to form a map of the ski mountain area.  If there is a vertical and/or horizontal line on our map, they show where two or more quadrants meet.

    Aspen TOPO

The purchasing process was extremely easy, product shots were crisp and clean, and the checkout process was very simple. Absolutely love these maps! One area for improvement is to allow a section for "Is this a gift?"

    Excellent Designed Map

First-time customer of Muir Way, and am very impressed. I ordered the Aspen topo map for my brother's birthday and he loved it. Shipping was punctual, design was impeccable, and he's now en route back to Colorado to get it framed in his new house. All around a great purchase, and a very happy customer.
