We created this map with the illusion of 3D by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1905 France Geological map. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.
Please Note: Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

I'm so happy I found out about Sean Conway on Twitter and went back to his profile to realize he had actually started selling his relief maps on Muir Way. It is beautiful in my living room in Paris and my roommates absolutely love it too. The shipping and framing cost was going to be too high so I framed it here at a local frame store and the one little issue is that it isn't exactly 36x38 inch (which isn't even its own standard in France) and that I had to put the map out of its tube and roll it out to measure it to have the frame made. Otherwise no problem at all with the shipping and the map is even more gorgeous in real life !
