We created this map with the illusion of 3D by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1897 Montana map. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.
Please Note: Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

My husband and I both love this map and the beautiful way it is framed. Its so beautiful with it's 3-demensional look, and all the the amazing geographic details of towns, rivers, mountains etc. We mounted a picture light over it and it is even more dazzling. I am hoping I can get my sister in law to purchase one for my brother on his birthday. He would be so delighted.

Bought this for a birthday present for my wife who is from Montana.
Could not be happier with it! The frame is beautiful and high quality. And the map is just tremendous. Gorgeous. Detailed. Simply lovely. Would highly recommend. The ability to capture the 3D Topography on a 2D Print is truly incredible. Likely buying the New Hampshire version soon (we lived there 4 years)
