Fine Art Paper Print – 8.5 x 11 Inch
Description

Originally published in the 1884 edition of the "The Fisheries and Fishery Industries of the United States", this reproduction print of the Halibut was drawn by H.L. Todd. It was part of the first book in a multi-volume series produced by George Brown Goode, the famed ichthyologist (fish scientist), Smithsonian museum administrator, and U.S. Fish Commissioner. He managed a large staff of scientists, researchers, and clerical employees to produce this monumental work on American Fisheries.  We are happy to make available the amazingly detailed drawings included in the first volume of the series as reproduction prints.

Pretty cute, but expensive for being small.

It shipped in about the amount of time I’d expect, I just wish they offered bigger sizes for the prices I pay.

“The Halibut”

I am extremely pleased with my purchase of “The Halibut”. As a fisherman, I had been looking for vintage drawings of various sportfish for quite some time, and was ecstatic when I came across MuirWay’s collection. “The Halibut” now completes a trio from MuirWay on my wall joining “The Dolphin” and “The California Yellow-Tail or Amber-Fish”. The set looks awesome.
