Charleston, SC 1948 USGS Map

Frame (16x20 Inch Paper Print Only)

Charleston, SC 1948 USGS Map

We love old maps. Their coloration, typography, legends, notations, and sometimes even outdated place names all have a nostalgic quality that gives them a special beauty. If you share our love for vintage maps, you’ll appreciate this 1948 Charleston, SC USGS Map in our Historic Series. In remastering maps for this series, we go to great pains to clean them up, eliminating stains, stamps, handwriting, and other signs of map aging. We then rework them into easily framable sizes and bring out the richness of their colors and details. Because we print them on fine archival paper and canvas, all their original beauty shines through. Browse our extensive collection of parks, cities, states, and more. It’s like traveling in a cartographic time machine.

    • Made in the USA

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly. We offer two choices of print surfaces: fine-art archival paper and stretched canvas.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

Fine Art Paper-Our archival paper is museum-quality, 100% cotton, acid-free, and certified to last 100 years. This assures sharp details, true colors, and exceptional durability.

Canvas Gallery Wrap-If you prefer a frameless look, order your map on stretched canvas, which offers a bit more depth and texture. We use archival canvas, gallery-wrapped and varnished, stretched onto a 1.5-inch-thick wood frame.

Reclaimed-Wood Frame-Handmade in Michigan utilizing wood salvaged from a historic mill in Detroit, that is oiled to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The frames have a 1.75" face and 0.75" rough-cut sides.

Black Frame-For a cleaner aesthetic, we offer a simple matte black wood frame with a 1.25" face and 1" sides.

Excellent quality for a great price

I love maps, especially historical ones, but quality maps are usually very expensive. This particular map is a publicly available image, but Muir Way’s printing and paper quality can’t be beat. I wish they offered framing or partnered with a service like Framebridge to save a step of me having to send it to the framer

The art work is beautiful! The actual item is more enjoyable now that I have it and it looks better than the picture. Can't wait to frame it in my office. I'm so happy with my map that I'm buying another one for home too. Muir way offers a great product.
