We created this map with the illusion of 3D by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1899 Portugal Geological map. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.
Please Note: Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

It looks good online and even better in person. I got the larger size and I love it. It is similar to a map my family had growing up and even shows the small village they are from in the very north! The colours and detail is fabulous and great care was shown in the packaging of the map too which shows the level of dedication from Muir.

I bought your Portugal map as a Christmas present for my Portuguese born Australian husband. It arrived on time despite local delays and the pre -Christmas rush. I had checked your products visual impact and reviews online and was impressed. A sneak peek through the slightly opaque, sturdy wrapping paper showed me it looked as expected. Not opened yet as I plan to keep in the packaging tube and wrap up as a Christmas cracker which remains an Aussie Christmas thing. Thanks.
