Nebraska Hydrological Map

Nebraska Hydrological Map

Water is literally the lifeblood of any state. If you’re drawn to water, you know that how and where it flows tells the story of a place. Our Nebraska Hydrological Map shows in fascinating detail how the state’s rivers and streams flow and interconnect, merge and diverge, carrying life to the land. The flow of water also has an inherent aesthetic elegance that our map captures beautifully.

It’s all in the details. Our map depicts every river in the state—even intermittent streams—and every body of water with a diameter greater than .2 miles. For an extra aesthetic touch, we apply a method called the Strahler Stream Order to show the hierarchy of streams as they flow from their source—rivers are shown thicker as they acquire the flow of tributaries. We think it enhances a sense of the interconnectedness of our waterways.

In our Hydrology Series, you’ll not only find your favorite rivers and lakes, but you’ll also be able to trace their origins and outflow and appreciate the beauty of their connections.

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly. We offer two choices of print surfaces: fine-art archival paper and stretched canvas.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

Fine Art Paper (Does not include frame)-Our archival paper is museum-quality, 100% cotton, acid-free, and certified to last 100 years. This assures sharp details, true colors, and exceptional durability. Order your maps on archival paper if you intend to frame them.

Frame-Add a thin wood frame to your order and your Fine Art Paper print will come mounted.Click here to order

Canvas Gallery Wrap-If you prefer a frameless look, order your map on stretched canvas, which offers a bit more depth and texture. We use archival canvas, gallery-wrapped and varnished, stretched onto a 1.5-inch-thick wood frame.

Patient Customer Service and Fantastic Quality Maps

Wondeful!! I ordered the Nebraska State Hydro. map in green for our Marine Corps son who graduated with a degree in geosciences and first told us about your company. Jared at Muir Way was very patient each of the three times I phoned with questions before placing my order. The following day, when I had to change the size of one map in my order, Jared's helpful, "Of course" and prompt processing of the cost difference was reassuring. But when the map arrived (with a second map I'd ordered), any reservations about ordering from Muir-Way were put to rest. The art is well-protected in a rigid container for its delivery journey, and the quality of the paper and print is comparable to what I have seen and purchased in art galleries. In short, they are beautiful!! My son has already received requests from fellow map fans and geo-majors for your website after posting a photo of his yet-unframed piece on social media. He was also inspired to begin an arrangement of your maps as a way to remember all the places his military career has taken and will take him around the country and the world.

Great Customer Service!

Map was beautiful. Loved the blue color and it’s printed on high quality paper. Additionally, the customer service was amazing. My map was damaged during shipping and Jared replied and had another one sent me within an hour of me reporting it. Definitely recommend!!
