Description

We love old maps. Their coloration, typography, legends, notations, and sometimes even outdated place names all have a nostalgic quality that gives them a special beauty. If you share our love for vintage maps, you’ll appreciate this 1883 Missouri Map in our Historic Series.

This map was made by George Cram and originally published in Cram's Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World in 1883.

Missouri Railroad Map

We gave three of them as gifts and kept one for display in our home. It hangs above an Edison G250 phonograph purchased in 1915 by my great-great aunt. Some of Missouri's old railroads ran near our family farms purchased in 1895 by my grandfather and two great-uncles. We have former railroad employees in our family and circle of friends. The maps are professionally mounted and reflect the care and craftsmanship of the Muir Way company.
