A reproduction print of the Catostomus, or Longnose Sucker, Moxostoma, or White Sucker, and Uranidea, or Rocky Mountain Sculpin, from the "Report upon United States Geographical Surveys, West of the 100th Meridian" by George M. Wheeler. The US Army Corps of Engineers surveyed over 361,000 square miles from 1869 to 1879 in pursuit of creating a detailed topographic map of the West. Wheeler's monumental work was published in 7 volumes from 1875 to 1889. The original chromolithographic print was prepared as part of the survey and was published in volume 5 of the collection in 1875.
