The USA mountain peaks map is a unique way to represent all spot heights and mountain summits taller than 250 ft, from California to Maine, and Washington to Florida; Alaska and Hawaii are included. Every notable point higher than 250 ft above sea level is indicated by a dot on the map and ranked by color according to height class. This gives the US map of high peaks, and some shorter ones too, a unique and clean look. This may not be a map for embarking on a hike, but this sure is a feast for the eyes and a wonderful piece of map artwork. Due to the multicolored nature of the summit heights, it is only available in one color.
What is the highest peak on the map?
Denali is the highest peak in the United States and the continent of North America, at 20,310 feet (6,190 m). It was once known as Mt. McKinley, but recently reverted to its original, indigenous name. It is located in the Alaska Range between Anchorage and Fairbanks, AK. The highest peak in the lower-48, is the Sierra Nevada’s Mt. Whitney at 14,505 feet (4,421 m).
