The Muir Way
John Muir was our country's most influential conservationist and naturalist. He is known as the "Father of our National Parks" because of his efforts that helped lead to establishing Yosemite, Sequoia, Mt. Rainier, Grand Canyon and others. Although Muir was born in Scotland he devoted his life to protecting America's wildlife, and for that we are grateful. In 1892, he led a group to form the Sierra Club which he was the President of until he died 22 years later. Their activism has helped to protect and establish many National Parks, Monuments, and other wild places. We appreciate all that they have done for our Earth and are proud to contribute to their cause. We pledge to donate a portion of all sales from this website to the Sierra Club Foundation.
