Florida Hydrological Map

Water is literally the lifeblood of any state. If you’re drawn to water, you know that how and where it flows tells the story of a place. Our Florida Hydrological Map shows in fascinating detail how the state’s rivers and streams flow and interconnect, merge and diverge, carrying life to the land. The flow of water also has an inherent aesthetic elegance that our map captures beautifully.

It’s all in the details. Our map depicts every river in the state—even intermittent streams—and every body of water with a diameter greater than .2 miles. For an extra aesthetic touch, we apply a method called the Strahler Stream Order to show the hierarchy of streams as they flow from their source—rivers are shown thicker as they acquire the flow of tributaries. We think it enhances a sense of the interconnectedness of our waterways.

In our Hydrology Series, you’ll not only find your favorite rivers and lakes, but you’ll also be able to trace their origins and outflow and appreciate the beauty of their connections.

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly. We offer two choices of print surfaces: fine-art archival paper and stretched canvas.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

Fine Art Paper (Does not include frame)-Our archival paper is museum-quality, 100% cotton, acid-free, and certified to last 100 years. This assures sharp details, true colors, and exceptional durability. Order your maps on archival paper if you intend to frame them.

Canvas Gallery Wrap-If you prefer a frameless look, order your map on stretched canvas, which offers a bit more depth and texture. We use archival canvas, gallery-wrapped and varnished, stretched onto a 1.5-inch-thick wood frame.

A well-loved gift!

We received the Florida Hydrological Map as a house-warming gift. It is a great reminder of Florida as we settle into our new home in New York. My husband especially appreciated it. Muir Way sent the map wrapped neatly in a poster tube, so it arrived in perfect shape all the way from California.

Florida Hydrological Map

Few things turn out better than you perceive them, however I can say I was surprised in that way with my Muir Map. Having properties throughout the state and a keen interest in the outdoors, it was great to see the quality and accuracy of this map. This is an exquisite piece and I am happy to have it in my collection.

Florida Hydrological Map

I purchased this map for a friend who is an engineer specializing in storm water drainage. It is beautifully and professionally done, truly a piece of artwork worthy of his office. Thank you!

Awesome

Amazing print that I'm happy I found and can't wait to hang it on my wall. The frame looks really great on it.

Excellent piece...excellent service!

This Florida hydrological map is an excellent addition to my conference room. I find most of my guests looking for their favorite body of water: from their family pond, to their favorite beach spot, all the way to their 'secret' fishing holes. The image is crisp and clear and the blue ink really makes Florida's waterways pop out from the print! I had a very easy time ordering the print. It took me about 30 minutes to properly frame the print as it comes wrapped up in a tube and that poses minor difficulty when working on your lonesome. All in all, I will definitely be back to add some more art to my collection.
