Rhode Island Hydrological Map

Rhode Island Hydrological Map

Water is literally the lifeblood of any state. If you’re drawn to water, you know that how and where it flows tells the story of a place. Our Rhode Island Hydrological Map shows in fascinating detail how the state’s rivers and streams flow and interconnect, merge and diverge, carrying life to the land. The flow of water also has an inherent aesthetic elegance that our map captures beautifully.

It’s all in the details. Our map depicts every river in the state—even intermittent streams—and every body of water with a diameter greater than .2 miles. For an extra aesthetic touch, we apply a method called the Strahler Stream Order to show the hierarchy of streams as they flow from their source—rivers are shown thicker as they acquire the flow of tributaries. We think it enhances a sense of the interconnectedness of our waterways.

In our Hydrology Series, you’ll not only find your favorite rivers and lakes, but you’ll also be able to trace their origins and outflow and appreciate the beauty of their connections.

We consider our maps to be works of art, so we print and frame them accordingly. We offer two choices of print surfaces: fine-art archival paper and stretched canvas.

Every map is custom printed. We have no inventory. Only when we receive your order do we produce your print on our 12-color giclée printer, using top-quality archival inks that will never fade.

Fine Art Paper (Does not include frame)-Our archival paper is museum-quality, 100% cotton, acid-free, and certified to last 100 years. This assures sharp details, true colors, and exceptional durability. Order your maps on archival paper if you intend to frame them.

Frame-Add a thin wood frame to your order and your Fine Art Paper print will come mounted.Click here to order

Canvas Gallery Wrap-If you prefer a frameless look, order your map on stretched canvas, which offers a bit more depth and texture. We use archival canvas, gallery-wrapped and varnished, stretched onto a 1.5-inch-thick wood frame.

Amazing, especially for a kayaking household!

This was our housewarming gift to ourselves as a family of kayakers. Such an amazing map with super high quality and great attention to detail. It shipped fast and arrived in great condition. Finally got a frame that is deserving of this amazing piece. Highly recommend Muir Way to anyone, it’s worth the price 100%!

    Will Buy Again

I usually don’t write reviews but I came across this buisness that supports the ideals of the Sierra Club. I live down south but the Sierra is near to my heart. I received the Alabama Hydrological map earlier than I anticipated. It came packaged in a sturdy, cylindrical box in pristine condition. I was impressed with the quality of the map and the attention to detail. I’m quite happy with my purchase and plan on buying some prints from the Yosemite collection. This map was purchased as a birthday gift for my father. He loves it. Now I’m going to have to order my self one.

    GA hydrological map

I was impressed with the apparent quality of the map we ordered. If I hadn't planned on giving it as a gift, I would have loved to keep if for my own home. Very cool piece...and very fun to see this perspective of waterways which are such an amazing of Georgia. Long live the Altamaha.
